Goals from Richard Naylor and Ian Westlake took the Blues to a thoroughly deserved 2-1 home victory over Sheffield Wednesday. Town were irresistible in a first half during which Naylor headed the opener, Westlake adding a second after the break before Lee Peacock's late consolation.

Striker Dean Bowditch has been called into the England squad for the UEFA European U19 Championships in Northern Ireland next month. Bowditch has already won seven caps for the U19s, although he is yet to score a goal at this level.

Cambridge Fans United, the Cambridge Supporters' Trust, are inviting all football fans to the Abbey Stadium for their League Two match against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Fans from all over the country are being invited to attend the Cambridge game in a bid to raise some funds for the cash-strapped U's, as well as to show solidarity with other financially troubled clubs.

Town have announced that season ticket prices will increase 5% on average for 2005/06 regardless of which league the Blues are playing in. The club have brought the renewal process forward earlier than in previous years, with the cut-off date for early season ticket purchases April 15th.

Season ticket prices have been frozen for four years and chairman David Sheepshanks says he hopes that fans will understand that a price rise was inevitable: "This is the first increase in four years which I hope supporters will recognise as being fair."

Cambridge Fans United, the Cambridge United Supporters' Trust, are inviting all football fans to the Abbey Stadium for Cambridge United's League 2 match against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, 19th March (KO 3pm). Town travel to face Gillingham away that day with tickets expected to be in short supply.

A goal in each half from Darren Bent was enough to give Town a 2-0 victory in a scrappy game at Burnley. The on-fire frontman put the Blues ahead on the quarter hour and settled the game with a stunning shot in the 65th minute.
